Took these as I progressed slowly out of Ouray this morning. I wanted to stop by and see what the Uranium mines are up to in Nucla, Colorado. Same Ol' Same Ol' everyone is waiting for the prices to go up. It's at $28. bucks a pound for the good U235 now and when it gets upwards of $58. a pound that should be enough to turn the lights on again. Who knows? I think the New World Order has got a hand on the whole planet anyways. Some how they've never invited me yet into their elite club. I left Nucla to head north out on Hwy 141 that follows the Dolores river a tributary to the mighty Colorado river. I've seen cool and hot temps this trip. In the canyon it was hot, hot, hot, but back going over the San Juan's it was nice and cool. Coming out of the canyon I was blessed with a rain cloud. I took my AC out of the truck, because the compressor locked up and I didn't want to pay to get a rebuild compressor that cost $250. You sure do appreciate the swings in the weather when you can no longer turn a dial to have it all your way. Good thing about this Ford PU is it's got wing windows and I can get a nice blast of air while I'm cruising down the road. It also keeps me busy when a hornet gets sucked the cap. Always fun to coax a hornet out the roll down window. Sometimes they don't want to go that easy.
