good work. Keep at it. has to be more.

unknown metal...aluminum or tin. Tin once widely available and cheap, not so now, completely replaced by aluminum and "made in china mystery metal"

Welcome to Treasurenet! Nice work, there is alot of great history up there.

My friend lives in nearby Middlebury. His wife got him an Ace 150 last year. I turned it on to show him how it works on the front lawn of his newly built home, and within two minutes I dug a 1903 Indian Head. He is still digging the ox plow we also found. There are a lot of opportunities for some great detecting in your area. My advice is Do the research! (Let me know if you would like some historic maps of New Haven county).

I plan on coming up your way again in July, so let me know if you are interested in getting out to detect for a few hours!

Welcome to the forum!

Congratz on the wheats and the couple of silvers ... makes for a nice day of hunting ~ Jimmy
