Looking back at the year, these are my 3 favorite finds.

My favorite if not the best condition is the 1963 Franklin Cameo Proof.

The Mercury is unbelievable with split bands on the reverse.

The King George V is also beautiful.

Which is your favorite of these and what was your favorite find this year?

1963 Franklin Cameo Proof - not perfect now, but it must have been impressive when it was taken out of the proof set

Finding a circulated merc. with full split bands is just amazing - especially 2cnd year of issue ! Impressive !!!

Those are some really neat finds, yes, especially the 1917 merc dime. I will post mine with pics later.

My best find of 2018 was when I had just gotten out of the 8-day hospital stay. Next day I when out bank hoping for dimes, then one of my branches ask if I wanted 10-rolls of halves someone had just brought in 2-days earlier. Bought them all, turned out to be ALL SILVER (less 2-clads mixed in), in all my years of hunting & searching I had never come across just ONE solid roll, now 10. Happened a few weeks later with ONE completely solid silver half roll.ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1546107120.648777.webp

Hard to believe that ITS STILL OUT THERE.

Happy for Dozer! He deserves it. And he is why we still ask for CWRs, even though i have never received one nor any loose coins.

Dozer set the bar high. My best single coin found was a 1974-D double die Kennedy half. It was the very next coin I picked up after my wife asked "Are we ever going to find one of those double dies?" and I responded "Probably not, they're rare..." - very next coin. I read a population report from either PNG or PCGS that estimated there were only about 10,000 of these struck. I started mid-year and got hooked when I found a 1942 Walking Liberty half in my third box. In 6 months, I found 15 Walkers.

DSCN2359.webpIMG_0150.webpit would be either of these seated coins.

Update....I think I'm in the wrong forum here...…….these weren't CRH finds.

Don’t really hunt too much but this was my best find this year, I believe there were 18 keepers, 1 40%, 1 1964, and 16 franklins if my memory serves me

That seated is really nice and in good condition - congrats. Only one I ever got was a dime in a MWR some 10-12 years ago and it wasn't in great shape.

These are my best finds of 2018:

My guess is these were turned in after someone passed away. Got these over the summer. Teller at that particular branch saves odd coins for me (halves and large dollars)

Got this in my town - teller had $1 in halves and this was one of them. Got it in early December.

Got this in a roll around thanksgiving weekend. It was on the end and the only silver in the roll. I had never gotten a commemorative before

I only had a couple notable finds. 23 40%ers and 4 90%ers in $590 worth of customer rolls, and a single common date Merc in a box.

This has been my worst year coming back from a 4 year hiatus.

I had a couple semi dream boxes of halves, one with 70 and one with 80. My best find was about a month ago. Found a Roman silver coin in a bag of halves. Also got my first large cent out of another bag of halvesImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1546132996.858863.webpImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1546133014.705604.webpImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1546133025.923770.webpImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1546133086.944422.webpImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1546133115.162484.webp

I didn't crh in 2018. Maybe this year. I have more time now.

Besides the two silver quarters and silver dime I received in change

Chinese replica'/counterfeit I get them from China to sell at gun shows, but I mark them all "COPY", cost me $1.00 with free shipping and I sell them for $10.

my first buff 1919 and my first war nickle 1944 p side by side in the same role

First time hunting pulled this beauty out of 8 rolls of Cents:

The nickel dump was quite nice too:
