I hit a patch of woods that I've been hunting for years yesterday and managed to extract an old Wittnaur wristwatch. I like tearing the old ones apart to check serial numbers, etc. to see if I can figure out when they were made. This watch was made between 1926 and 1927. It's the same woods that I found my goldfilled pocket watch in this year, I've found many silvers, buffalo's, V nickels, Indians and all kinds of wheats in the past 10 years or so. I also found another old goldfilled pocket watch here about 3 years ago that dated around 1890, it's an Elgin.

Very cool watch Giant! Those woods have been good to you over the years. :icon_thumleft:

Neat one! How is the ground?

Very nice indeed. Wittnaur watches are fine swiss timepieces. The movement alone could be worth some money. I would call a watchsmith and get an estimate.

Great find, Giant! :icon_thumleft: Glad you're getting out still.
