Saw my first crocus today. Snapped photos of same, along with a few others: andromeda, Rhododendron 'Christmas Cheer', poppy in bud. Don't they know this is still February?

T, Sure would like to see those Poppies in bloom!!! God Bless Chris

There's some question whether they are going to get frozen yet. This week the freezing level comes down to about 1,000 feet elevation. I'm about 350 feet. But I also have this annoying thing called the Gorge effect (intense winds, often with cold air) from my proximity to the Columbia River Gorge. Time will tell.

Saw several purple crocus in bloom today, along with a couple Windflower (Anenome) and Daffodils in a neighbor's yard 6 blocks away.

Beautiful Flowers!!!!

What does it look like down there now? It was sunny and 52 degrees here between Crescent and Cemult yesterday.

This morning woke up to about 8 inches of new snow. Still coming down with wind an 22 degrees.

Cold, windy, rainy. Snow down to 800 feet locally, sometimes to the (Willamette) valley floor, but not sticking. Not sure how this will affect the flowers. We'll wait and see.
