I spent several hours again today walking the marshes fighting bugs, while trying to find the old route to the revolutionary salt works. The location of the works themselves is now a public beach surrounded by developement, but there is roughly a hundred acres of marsh and lowland still remaining between it and the old king's road. Everything is extremely deep so I'm using the etrac with almost no discrimination. The finds are pretty humble so far, but something may turn up eventually. The coin is a King George which I have to clean to see if anything is readable. The other disk is a concave large coat button. The little piece seems to be a decorative broken link to something, and this small piece has what looks like the relief of a man. The other side is decorative also, and it is cast brass. It ain't much so far, but I'm on the trail I hope! Thanks for looking.
