Despite the crazy cold weather we had in the last six weeks weeks I still managed to get out a few times for a couple of hours. Some days the conditions were absolutely unbearable with frozen ground and the strong arctic wind mixed with snow. The few rare times we had the rain which allowed the ground to thaw a bit it would turn the sites into mud pools making the detecting extremely hard. Being as crazy as I am it didn't stop me from taking the few little opportunities I had and tempt my luck in the fields. The conditions being so unfavorable had a major impact on the my Deus as the machine was covered in mud or snow most of the time. I still managed to find a few decent coins and relics and have no reason to complain as, with the crazy weather we're having, I never expected to get out so late into the season.
Got a nice silver surprise, not as early as I was hoping for but still good.
Victoria Dime 1871 with a double die break on the reverse.

Got a few coppers as well.
My best preserved Duke of Wellington halfpenny 1814

My earliest George III Hibernia halfpenny 1769 (counterfeit)

A toasted George III halfpenny 1777?

An other toasted copper. 1816 halfpenny

Victoria large cent 1881

Got a few military items as well.
Officers War of 1812 ''G.R.'' button

Victorian Queen's Light dragoons (I would guess 1830's-1850's)

A partial Shako 23rd Regiment of foot. Not sure of the period.

Also got a nice complete crotal bell and an unknown lead piece marked IP

Thanks for the comments and Merry Christmas to everyone!
