I know, big deal. Now, look at the shard on the back of this book!

My piece is sitting on the book to compare with that on the back cover.

Yep I never find pottery shards either...the field I found them in I have never walked in before..I went fossil digging and the water was to high so I crossed the river to a field about 300 yards away I found on google earth and just started walking..turned out to be a good choice!

Hate to be the big bad wolf...but if I'm guessing right I don't think that's native american pottery....unless its super late like in the past 200-300 years old, look at the glazing

My thoughts as well, White mans padre!...........HH

Yeah, I knew that the glazing was modern. However, I never have seen a stone crock or churn that was orange. I think it could be really late native pottery. I found it on Hyco lake at a spot that I have found lots of stuff. Who knows?

Possibly lead glaze spanish
