Hello, I found these relics on my property (within 5 feet of each other). It was mined starting in the 1850's.

This one I have already figured out, I think...lid of a percussion cap container. Does anybody have any interesting info on Ballin & Sander?
From what I can tell they were wealthy importers and bankers. I wouldn't mind dating it if anybody has any ideas...
It reads "WARRANTED ANTICORROSIVE AND INFALLIBLE" "RIBBED SPLIT, GROUND EDGE" "SOLE AGENTS BALLIN & SANDER NEW YORK"

The second item is probably related to a powder flask of some sort?
I have found a few similiar that were not embossed, and I just tossed them.
I'm wondering what the heck it is?
It's made of some sort of pot metal or pewter - not iron.
it is embossed "E.I. DUPONT Co"
