Found this stuff yesterday before the farmer came in to plant corn. My days in the field are numbered but have access to the adjacent property that's not farmed. I know there are three old foundations there. The buckle is an 1881 Remington ammo belt dog head. Probably won't find another one of those. Not sure on toasted coin state copper I think. Good luck to all. Art

great finds! found my 2 best buttons this year in a feild a couple days before the corn was planted needless to say cant wait till the corn gets harvested!

Looks like a promising start, should be more left!

You are on fire trapper. Three old foundations sounds exciting! glad too see you rescuing all those nice finds including those too rare buttons you found before this years planting. Just more chance of damage and another shot of that God awful fertilizer. Good luck out there.

Nice finds, I look forward to your posts from the other field. I would guess that the buckle may come from a rifle sling. :dontknow:

Excellent work, , sad to see those plates get bent like that.
The only way you can straighten it out is with a torch. I tries to straighten out a copper tag without heating it up and it is now kaput.
Congrats on some nice finds

Nice digs Art, my days are numbered too, I pulled three ticks off me after being out for half hour.

Well done trapper, love those big coppers!

Good job, i'm sure the fork sounded like a deep coin. It happens to me all the time :)
