What is that those shells are sitting on? Almost looks like a mamoth molar or something?

??? I don't get it bean? I know what the shells are... I'm wondering what they are laying upon- a fossil of some sort I think....

mammoth tooth and those are shell spoons

Oh my God bean, I thought you were joking... you really don't think I know WTF those were? Coming from a guy who can't tell a river rolled rock from a worked piece of flint that's a real insult. I knew what they were!

If I would have thought it was a quiz I certainly would have- but the answer seemed so obvious that they didn't even capture my attention... thus why I was looking at the rock underneath! What do you suppose that is under there?
::) ::) ::)

Amen to that,
No offense Bean,but once again I have to agree with Cannon.I think you no better when you post these creek rocks and just try to stir things up. You have posted some really nice finds and then ,well?
Jeff

ohioriver hunter- what do you suppose that thing is? (Not the SPOONS LOL! The rock)

He told you what it was, which was pretty obvious anyway. If you knew Cannon, why did you say you didn't get it. ???

Listen beano, stop with this childish cr@p- I said I didn't get it about your comment about not always eating with their fingers because my original post wasn't about the spoons, it was about the rock they are sitting on so at first I thought your comment applied to that rock/fossil. I would still like to hear what you think that is - probably and arrow shaft scraper right? LMAO!~

I thought it was a mammoth tooth from the start. Do me a favor, read posts better. He told you what it was. And, don't assume all responses are for you. I was replying to his post. ::)

I wish! But I don't think that's Steves first one. That's really cool, but I find the spoons, very interesting.
