Since the grass has died down, I've been able to hunt the fields on the family farm. A couple of the fields are plowed, a couple haven't been plowed in twenty years or so. Finds are scattered and sporadic
Found a couple of 40's Mercs and 17, 34, and 35 wheats. The silver thimble-my first-was found under some tree branches on the edge of the field. The best find , though, was the silver pocket watch cover. I've found three pocket watches on this farm but none of them anything special. This cover, however, is especially nice due to the beautiful engraving. I found it at about 5 inches when I got a quarter signal in the middle of a field. I guess it broke off the farmer's watch while he was plowing.
