Hunted a old field I use to hit that was just turned. I walked to the corner of the field were I had dug a trime, and a few buttons. First few steps I get a signal and out pops this little 14K gold ring. All I could think of looking at the initials (CS) on the face and a bunch of writing around the intials was Confederate States . The ring has the initials, A. F. in a fancy script on the inside. After placing it on what is it, Brianhashemi found that it could be fraternal from the Knights of Columbus. Also known as the, Columbian Squires a Catholic fraternity that used the slogan, For God And Country. One of the buttons dug had a back mark of a Joseph Mann No. 1. The company dates from 1800 to 1840. A shield nickel, hem weight, key, 7 buttons and littles. The shell casing has WRA 50.70 around the primer.
