~~~Field Hunt~~~1800's Variety~~~First Outiing Since Injury..
What is up Tnet
I have not been detecting in 3 months due to busting up my ankle
They plowed the fields behind my house so i had to hit them before they plant
Put a brace on my ankle and hit them for a few hours Saturday night and a few hours today.
Grabbed a few 19th century goodies
A nice Large cent
2 cent piece first one in a while..I must have walked over the spot where i got it 50 times before they plowed it
Anyone know what the Hamilton relic is
Lots of iron Harness hardware...
A couple of lead bale seals..One flattened
Broken old Cross..
Had fun..I used my atv to get from field to field going easy on the ankle..Almost ready to troop out to the old Colonial cellars
I must say Cellar Hole hunting is my favorite for sure.
Have fun out there
Blaze
The Hamilton relic is from a horse halter it is the end piece. Not particularly old.
Way cool. Love the LC. A truly awesome part of the country you live in for detecting. Obvious you guys do your research as well. Always love your posts and finds in those early colonial sites. Unfortunately I have been 65+ hours per week and not getting to go the last several months. Hoping your "gimp" gets better my friend. HH
[Argentium]
Welcome back Johnny good to see you blazing up t-net with some rockin finds again ! That LC. is the Bomb !
[Gridwalker306]
Nice diggins, and detecting is probably the best physical therapy you can get!
[vpnavy]
Sorry to hear about your ankle JB. Nice digs. Like the LC. You'll no doubt be ready for Fall Cellar Hunting Season. Take care of that ankle Bud & WTG, Q.
[MaineRelic]
Nice Johnny ! I am glad you have recovered enough to get out for a hunt with some nice finds Don't over do it though. MaineRelic
[I-DIG-IT]
Nice digs.
[Evolution]
Nice hunt JB. The LC is in great condition. I've got ankle problems as well. Walking over uneven terrain in the woods can be a real pain for me....literally. Hope you heal up soon and get back out to the cellar holes.
Hi J.B. thats a beauty of a Large there! Nice 2 center also think thats too rich a coin for out here in the old days maybe , never had one in the ground yet. Get well so we can see some more great finds !!
[Bill D. (VA)]
Didn't know you were hobbled up JB. Glad to see your back out swinging again. And nice going on the coins. Both appear to have been treated kindly by the ground. Good luck next time out.
[ModernMiner]
You are a diehard JB, and you came back kicking butt. Welcome back.
Sweet finds there Dude. I've only dug one 2-cent coin in my detecting career. I like the unusual finds like that.
Congrats,
Doug
[dirtlooter]
looks like you did alright, its not as fun when you are crippled up so you actually found some good stuff, congrats on getting back out there
[Old Dude]
Well, it looks like your couple month hiatus hasn't hurt your detecting abilities JohhnyB. Sorry to hear about your injury but glad to see you are healing and still on the trail of those relics! Looking forward to this fall's cellar dweller pics!
[Ahab8]
Didn't miss a beat brother! Coins look fantastic. Great assortment of finds. Get well bud.
[doninbrewster]
Nice going! LC's and 2 cent pieces usually come out of the ground in pretty corroded condition. Actually, 2 cent pieces rarely come up at all. You got a couple of nice ones. Way to go!
[The Rebel]
WTG JB! Glad to see you back out in style. Take it easy on the ankle as the better tempo are just a few weeks away.
