Field of wheat & a dime

I've been going back to the spot where I dug the large, lucky penny. So far only wheats, 18 of 'em.
2-19's, 19-d, 20-d, 2-25's, 26-d, 28, 29, 41, 2-44's, 2-45's, 2-50-d, 53. All came from what was a small backyard area, now a park. Today I got permission to hunt a new farm site, freshly mowed. So fresh that the groundskeeper kept going by and spraying me with grass, and laughing each time he went by. My kinda guy! Got a 1910 wheat and squeezed by with a '64 Rosie.
Now we just need some rain and I'll be hitting this place hard.

I wish I could be out there hunting with you! That's a lot of wheaties you've been digging up without me. Congrats on your 46th silver! I think we should come up with a new spot for the weekend though. I found a new place close to home that I'll have to tell you about later ;-)

Is it just me or does one of the wheats (lower right of picture) still shows some luster? Given my recent experiences 18 wheats and a dime would send me sky high!

Thanks! Whenever I get a unique date I don't have in my folder yet, I clean them up with 000 steel wool and they come out pretty shiny like that.

Wow, great digs! A silver dime is a great day for me. And those wheats? Holy shnikies. I think the most wheats I ever dug in a day was 13, they were all in a VERY old yard. Two 1909's and the rest all very early wheats...but no silver there!
