I hadn’t walked the fields for 13 days.
The winter oats make it very difficult to see much. These stood out. Nothing but flakes, but it reaffirms that this is a good spot to hunt.
Hopefully the farmer will knife-in the anhydrous ammonia soon. That’ll tear up the soil some.

Top row 5 1/2" mark isn't a scraper?

I don’t believe so. That may have been the intention, but I don’t see much possible work. Maybe just a flake, or very early progress on a preform scraper.

Can we see a pic of the opposite end of the one gdub asked about?

That's the opposite side I wanted to see the nonpointy end either way from this view I think you were correct that it's not a scraper sure has the silhouette of one though
Here’s a couple shots of the non-pointed end.

Now I'd call it a scraper, looks like it has the steep bevel a scraper face should have
Possibly. I just don’t see the flake removal zones. I’m not very well-versed at scraper IDing yet.

Where the flakes were taken was the working end potentially being smoothed or polished away somewhat. Generally small microflakes taken almost straight up from the bottom towards the top. It would be in my scraper frame.

Thanks. I’ve included photos of a similar piece, that I’ve wondered about. Maybe a scraper too.
