Back at the Epic button site at lunch today, now close to 40 buttons recovered here from the 1700’s into very early 1800’s. Love the old buttons, lots of tombac and silver plated here.

Got a deeper shotgun headstamp signal, 15 on the Nox.

Not a shotgun shell, not another button, but the lowest beeping copper ever, yeah, finally!

Sent some pics to Steve for ID’ing.

Nice find , cool looking coin maybe it will clean up some , looks like a great site you have

That is awesome! Congrats on a true bucket list find.

Awesome find Thad! You got a great honey hole there. Congrats!

Very well done mate! Congrats to ya! :skullflag: :occasion14:

Congrats on finally pulling a copper from that place Thad. Those KG III Hibernia's are almost all contemporary counterfeits. Many are dated 1766 or 1781. That is a copper you might expect to find at a site like that, along with State Coppers, KG III Britannia's, and Draped Bust Large cents.

Nice old coin find. Hope it cleans up nice for you. Congrats

Thx! I might try a little light rubbing with the Andres Pencils at home and maybe some Rennwax to protect it.

That is awesome! Congrats on a true bucket list find.
Thx! I finally googled Hibernia to find out it is simply Latin for Irish... learn something new with each new find.

Awesome find Thad! You got a great honey hole there. Congrats!
Thx John! It’s a rare truly old site with no modern trash. Swinging under each bush hoping to finally hear that sweet silver tone, it would be a significant coin if I can find it.

Thx Javadroid!

Thx for the ID help! With just the top of the crown on the obverse I was thinking some kind of copper Spanish.

Forgot to mention, there might be a Draped Bust half cent and of course Spanish silver. Those are frequent flyers with the kind of buttons you're finding.

Awesome find! I like old buttons too. Keep us posted!

Congrats pa-dirt, nice work!

Major bucket find!
