Hello all! I got out to a couple if sites today. First I hit a 1836 homesite and finished up the day at my great grandmas house. Great Gmas is still giving after being hunted over & over! I finally had a good day, its been tough hunting lately with very mediocre finds. I needed this! I was thrilled to get the 1908 barber dime, my second barber! I thought the button looking item with the British coat of arms was pretty neat too (it has been cleaned). I'm pretty sure it's not a button because of the "clips" on the back. Any idea what it is or how old it is? I also found part of a nice BVU suspender clip and a neat Celtic brooch, both were silver plated at one time. I also found a nice complete barrel spigot, this was a first for me. I assume its mid 1800s? The wheaties are 1950 & 1910. It was a beautiful day here in NC for a hunt & a great way to spend a Pto day! Can't wait for my colonial hunt tomorrow! Thanks for looking & HH!

Possibly an oil can, I don't think it's too old, I'm pretty sure I have pulled that cap off a turbine oil can before. Awesome finds !!

Thanks NB. I also forgot to post my eyespy today. A nice little purple tinted medicine bottle. It was right on top of the ground by an old building.

Very nice finds, Mangum! I have almost that same barrel spigot. Helluva hunt!

Thanks! Any idea of the age? I know they all look pretty similar even the colonial ones.

Great finds Josh! I always wonder how all the New Orleans mint coins get up this far (I found my 1905O in Rock Hill last year).

I hope your weekend goes great!

Nice finds like that put the fire back in a person for sure! HH!

Hey mangum,

I admire that angular knot brooch, sir.

The FlexSpout dates to 1953. <img src="http://www.treasurenet.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=871701"/> FLEXSPOUT - Reviews & Brand Information - Rieke Corporation AUBURN, IN - Serial Number: 71655372

It is still in circulation and there was a recently patented FlexSpout II. See: Rieke Packaging pail-and-can-brochure

Thanks surf! I love Celtic knots & used to do some art incorporating them into paintings, taffy can get really intricate. Thanks for the ID on the FlexSpout!

Really good finds Josh. You were long overdue for silver. I hope that english button is a military relic.

Totally awesome finds! WTG

Nice silver finds.

It is amazing that as many times you have been there it gives up some really nice stuff. The trash moved out of the way for the day.
