Swung by a couple of thrift stores. The first had nothing. The other just put some watches out. These were $3.99 each. The little ladies Elgin just grinds when I tried to wind it, but I could care less, as it'll be 2.8 to 3.2 grams of good clean 14k gold to hang on. The ladies Movado looks like the real deal. It's marked on the dial, back a clasp, plus a sapphire crystal, I'm sure isn't installed on knockoffs I believe? I think I did ok on my $8.47 I spent.

Yup not bad for a few grams of 14K..

Good job, Tam!

It'll be good trade material with the scrap buyer. I might get less gold but it'll be a piece of jewelry worth more than this watch. He's not so focused on the true value of his jewelry, but he does make a profit and I see it as getting a $150. piece for like 5 bucks if he has something good. I've even traded him gold for silver jewelry made by a highly desired maker.
