Well this morning me and Deadsy decided to go exploring. Cjon had a lot going on and too bad he didn't come out bc we had a blast! Hit up some new permission and very old farms. First good signal I thought was a different tone but consistent. What do you know a shield nickel...wait NO a 2 cent 1864!! Which is my first 2 center. Not too long after that get a nice but bouncy high time and it's a cool sterling pin with some charms on it! Also picked up some odds and ends like a real nice crotal bell that is real ornate and not the usual big one either is kinda medium small sized. Also grabbed a newer Ox knob and a small flat button looks to be pewter with 22 on it any feedback on it is welcome! Great day today though hope to go back soon! Good luck to everyone!

Well done my man, congrats. Crotal bell, sterling pin and two center, what's not to like? The weather was nice and CJON was too busy to hunt, sounds perfect to me!

Really nice finds,, that 2 center is a bucket lister of mine for sure

Very nice. Did some digging around Port Jervis, NY back in the early 80s. One never knew what would pop up.

Damn good finds, cool yah got a date on the two center, the last five I got are just too corroded to get a date from them..

I believe you just found 1 of the 22nd of foot buttons.
Let see what IP says on this.
If it is, that definitely is the find of your day, and blows that 2center away!! Lol
Fantastic!
This is what I found

George, yeah it was quite deep and it's kinda small but that looks exactly like it. What's something like that worth? The propert is quite old I'm on. Thanks for the help too man!

Not sure on the value. But you better coat it with some elmers glue.
Mix elmers with a little water and brush it on. Let dry and do it again.
Front and back. Or you might wake up with it even smaller. Lol.
Post it in what is it. With title ( 22nd reg of foot button? ).
Congrats again.

NEPA CONGRATS ON ALL THEM NICE FINDS ........

thanks for the comments fellas....George im waiting on a confirmation and i got my fingers crossed!

got 3 of the '64's last year, turned 6 cents into $50 thanks to Feebay, great thumper bell

I hear ya Port...I usually filed my coins away for my 3 year old...one day he could look back and say...what an idiot my Dad was putting these coins in holders...but looks like I got 20 bucks in change!!

WTG NEPA :headbang: You have been killing it this year. I figured you'd already dug one of those 2 cent coins. That's one cool "designer" diaper pin. :laughing7:

Both the crotal bell and 2 cent coin remain on my list, oh well better odds of finding one since I have so many.

Nice finds and congrats on the 2 cent, cool looking pin. Next time Chris my come. LOL

Very interesting button.
I never knew of such a thing.
Thanks for the history lesson!

Some great finds you got. Welcome to the 2 center club. They are awesome. Really love the Crotal. My favorite thing to dig, but still searching for one with a sunburst. The pin is really unique and cool. Awesome hunt!

Great hunt. The button looks to be a pewter 22nd Regiment, Revolutionary War.
