Hit my local 1 room schoolhouse, that I have hunted several times over the years, mostly with my GHMCX but with my new ATPRo I went back for a recheck..
Right along the edge of the building, totally trash infested, chicken wire, bottle caps, fragments of iron, I was hunting in Pro Zero almost max sens, disc on 30. iron audio on. it was a dizzying event hearing constant iron signals but it was the only setup that would hit coins.
I tried Pro coin, iron audio off, NO BELL tones,, turn on iron Audio, and a decent signal mixed in with the iron.. strange, but that was the only way to get 70's on the ID. A smaller coil would have been ideal, but I worked some super narrow sweeps, over the good signals,,2 inches wide wiggle wiggle...I got a good reading, and felt good about it... less than 4" 1945 Mercury. My kids gave the thumbs up...ironically it is right in the footpath a few feet from a geocache, and my kids said, imagine how many people walked over this not knowing....Yep I told them, thats the fun thing about discovery..you never know what's below.
