Haven't had the chance to really go out and detect since I got my Excalibur, so, I decided to put it to work looking for a sprinkler head I buried a couple years ago in my back yard while filling in a small pond. Boy, is my yard trashy! One of the first hits I got I could tell by the signal that it was long. Pepsi can. Hey! same size! After digging about 7 more holes, I was about to give up. I got one more hit. Decided to dig it. Bingo! There it was! So, yeah. The Excal works.

Had to chuckle, as so often a sprinkler head is nothing but a nuisance, but here was someone actually looking for one. Actually, using your metal detector for this job was a brilliant idea.
