Cha-ching
Then again I would be saving for a rainy day.
Well done.
Still too cold here for them.

Do you eat them or sell them?
We Eat them . I hear $40/lb in our area to sell. Too much BS to put up with sometimes. We eat them and avoid any troublemakers. Some people are walking lawsuits. I don’t need $$ that badly.

I’ve never tried one but I know they grow here

BF are you going to teach me how to find them. I have FORGOTTEN HOW :(

Timing is everything when looking for morels. look for dying trees, bark just starting to loosen, elm trees are best but most elms are gone around here. I go by dead trees i see and walk toward one while scanning the ground and looking for smaller dead trees i couldn't see from the last spot. They can be around any tree but just find a likely tree from a distance and head for it keeping your head on a swivel. Anytime you stop take a good look around. My dad found a lot by siting on a log taking a break. Morels always have a source (dead tree) but the source is not always apparent so its about covering the ground while checking the likely spots.

Nagant is right based on most of my years. However, I’m limited on dead trees, and NO elms. I find most of mine where the morning sun hits early; east facing banks, knolls, etc. Also where there is better than normal soil moisture.

I might just have to look and see if I can find any shroon sellers online.
