I've been laying low recently letting the knees recover as much as they can. We had a front move through last night so only mid 80s today which is a blessing. Today was a good day. Cooler weather and a few good finds. The reason I quit after just 4 hours was that the ground was hard as a rock and my digging hand was hurting pretty bad. Heck, I about wore my callous off. I found $3.47 in clad. Also found 8 wheat pennies and a Barber dime dated 1913.
I dug this pretty toasty Scovill button and am hoping one of the button gurus can share some information about it. It measures 7/8" across. It is one of the rounded faces......not flat. Your willingness to share your wealth of knowledge is greatly appreciated.
