Today I hunted a new spot, farmhouse front yard. The owner tried to direct me to the side of the property about a hundred yards away where they found a plowed-up Morgan dollar.
He told me that years ago hogs and chickens roamed the front yard, and probably lots of junk buried. He went off to do work in the barn, so I decided to hit the front first.
I walked no more than five steps into the yard and my first hit was silver. After that, a wheat. Lots of wheats in this yard, no new coins. Ten feet away, another large silver hit. I thanked him after an hour and headed home for chores.

Wheats were all from the mid 40's to 50's, I suspect maybe dirt was moved around as there were no signals beyond 4-5" deep. FFD

Sweet finds! Congrats on finding your first BIG SILVER! and to find 2 in 1 day just awesome. Lol isnt it a great feeling when u see that your target actually is a coin after getting that solid big silver hit. keep it up and HH

excellent finds Duane... congrats on your first big silver!! quite a productive hour of hunting

Two in one outting is pretty special. Congrats to ya. Front yards are the best!! Now onto the Barber half. The half that took me the longest to find was the Franklin. Go figure. Thats whats so fun about this hobby. So many firsts to be had. never satisfied. Your gonna have some impressive totals at the end of this year. Jim

Great hour out... just thing if you put in a full day there!!! Simply OUTSTANDING!!!!

You have been smokin' hot lately FFD! ;D Great work for an hour hunt!

Jim

Great finds. It is possible that the dirt was not moved around as I often find the coins from that era in the depths you are finding them. The early 1900 coins seem to be in the 6-8" range and the late 1800 coins tend to be in depths of 8" plus. There are always exceptions though as I have found late 1800 coins in less than 2" depths before. Great work and keep working that yard over.

WTG on your silver. Must hit that yard again......Matt

Wow! Awesome finds. Those are some sweet looking halves.Congrats. Thats what it's all about.

Good luck,
HH.

Is that DFX up for sale now????? LOL Your on fire Duane, I'll bet by the end of the year your gonna have to hire a brinks truck to haul all your silver to the bank! Keep it up Bud!
