the vine borers have wiped out nearly all of my squash patch. I found this on the edge of said patch this morning. So I got something out of it.😆
I’ve tried the hot peroxide cleaning method, catsup and also salt with white vinegar and flour paste. It is not improving enough to read. I believe it says, “Warranted Orange” on the back. I expected, “Warranted RICH Orange” as I’ve seen them before.
Am I expecting too much from cleaning? Is there a better method? Is Warranted Orange a possibility? (Without the Rich) thanks

I don't know much about buttons but for what its worth it looks like it reads Warranted Orange to me.

BTW the only thing growing good in my garden this year is the red chilies and I think the hot weather is making them even hotter 🥵

Well done on the button.
Is there a design or writing on the face?

I think just scratches. It appears to be plain-faced otherwise.

nice button blackfoot. Does anybody know if anyone has made an updated button id page. you know with actual color pictures. all i ever see is that black and white one of the shank style from "A Guide to the Artifacts of Colonial America" which was probably taking from something older(see below). Just seems like there is no limit of button pictures on here. I feel like someone would of made an updated guide to dating buttons.
