Nice basalt Lanceolate with a little damage on the base it has a Haskett look? maybe a point from the Great Basin Stemmed Cluster.

I'm just getting out of the mountains now. I'll get a couple more pics when I get home. Based on the info provided by southfork, it's 9-12,000 years old. Transitional paleo. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong!

Ok. I've taken a bunch of pics. Hopefully they will be clear enough. They only one I couldn't capture was the thickness. It measures an even 1/4" after the taper for the point. I'd love feedback...I've read a bit on what Southfork believes it is and I'm amazed at it! I'm feeling blessed! Thanks!

I think so but I know nothing. It was hinted that it may be a certain type but I have no experience in identifying.

Yeah no kidding-! I'm really not sure if your find is a blessing or a curse of sorts, CHUDS.

I can't tell you how many hours I spend looking at google maps for new places to hunt. I fear my retirement (someday-hopefully) will consist of me wandering around aimlessly looking at the ground.

If it's a Haskett, that's a better example than most hunters will find. Rare, rare points. Here is a link with some more info on Hasketts. They are among the oldest point types in the US.
