I’ve been doing old homes for quite some time and found many old coins but I have yet to find a barber quarter for some reason tonight I got a signal 22-23 equinox thought it was a a penny didn’t even sound that good but was repeatable so I dug it and was shocked to see this usually quarters are around 30ish anyway it’s my first barber quarter !!! Has a nick but I think maybe a rock was against it and when I moved it it scratched it but still a gorgeous coin and awesome find 96CE42A5-880D-4AE9-AB38-9B77706AB4D7.webp6844E70B-8C9E-4F75-A101-C923BD20A425.webp

Very nice! I've been fortunate enough to find 5 of them.

Well done! 🙌 Pretty nice detail, too.

WHATDA, you won't forget where you found your first Barber quarter forever.

Congratualtions on the Barber Quarter! :occasion14:

My avatar is the 1st silver coin I found with my Fisher 1236x2 about 9 years ago. An 1898 Barber quarter. Great looking coin I think. Congratulations!

Those a few and far between! Nice find.

Great Find! It does seem odd that it didn't ring higher I've had clad quarters come in around there if there is some iron or aluminum close by. You might recheck the hole with your iron on to see what else was there.
