Find Rated "R" <> Drugs and Sexual Content

Howdie,

After takin tha kid ta school, I headed out beepin
over in tha Hood,,,,

This is a city park. Under tha freeway over there,
is a basket ball court, and a big sand filled area
that used to be a volley ball court. Now it is used
as a hang out until the park closes.

But in the mornin I have it all to myself.

That place is where I found my sexually explicit
silver find.... lol

It is thick and heavy. I do not have a clue what it
is. but I am almost sure it is silver.

On the other side is a marijuana leaf,

After finishing up there, I went to a tot lot in hopes
of findin some gold.

No gold, but part of a silver chain.

Here is tha jewelry finds,

I found 110 coins in a few hours at the two places,
and 3 hot wheels.

Tha pile on tha right is from the tot lot. The one on
the left is from under tha freeway.

That's a bunch of stuff! My question is, how do you keep finding tot lots that appear to have never been hit in your area? I live in a suburb of about 75,000 and have hit every park and tot lot. I have NEVER gotten that much stuff and now have them pretty much cleaned out for awhile. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Yep, that's some nice finds for a tot lot and a lot of them. The kids in my town must be penny pinchers and hang onto there toys like Spiderman, because my finds in the tot lot of Cullman are pretty scarce and I go all the time. Nice job!

No one ever hunted these tot lots very well around here.

It does help to have a Tesoro. In a tot lot my $70 Compadre
( MrSpeedy ),,,,, will hunt circles around the most expensive
Minelab, and find more stuff. A 250 wont do it either, even
though it is a great machine. It responds to slow, and refreshes
much too slowly. It is also less sensitive to small low conductors,
like gold and junk.

Tesoro pin points so well, I can kick the find out of tha sand,
find it again and just pick it up. If I can see it, I will just flip it
onto my coil with my foot and grab it with my free hand.... I
know my pockets are full when my suspenders wont hold up
my pants,,

I do not dig a bunch of holes. If Tabdog dug that many holes,
He would get stuck,,

That sand filled pit in tha hood is big enough to put three or
four volley ball courts in. I hunted it last year and found some
rings.

You can see the size of the tot lot hunt compared to tha hood
hunt in the trash photo.

I use Google and a TomTom, as well as drive around and find
tot lots.

I maintain all tha tot lots in a 50 mile radius. What you do not
see is all the normal hunts I do. Some tot lots fill back up.

If you live in a sub that big, there should be lots of tot lots to
find.

see what was found in the tot lot.

It aint that big pile.

Hay you Ace 250 users.

Please dont get me wrong, I think the 250 is truly
a great machine.

But I think there are better machines.

I would love to use a Fisher F75, but

The ETrack may be tha "thing to beat" now days.

I use Tesoro because of tha weight and speed
and sensativity. Good in tot lots and fresh water
beaches, and OK for relics. Pluss

MrSpeedy is King of Tha Tot Lot,,

Tesoro did not hang tha moon.

Monte is one of the most knowledgable people I know
about metal detecting. I am sure lots of folks on this
forum know who he is.

I first learned from him how to find jewelry on dry land.

Here is what he says,



Over the past dozen years or more I have averaged several hundred dollars a year in "flash money" (aka new change) and typically over $500 in gold jewelry (unless there are key pieces which bring more). Some years my gold jewelry has brought in between $800 and $1500.

To me, metal detecting is 'fun' and has to be to retain my attention. Most of the time I try to find local renovation sites where I might luck upon some silver or other older coins. Whenever possible, I like to get away to a ghost town, homestead, old recreation site or fair or carnival site, etc., etc. But because I live in a fairly good size metropolitan area (Portland, Oregon area), and work and other restrictions that keep me close to home, when I get out I like to find OLD stuff, or Quantity and Jewelry. ALL of the gold and silver jewelry I found since May, and typically 98%+ of the gold and silver jewelry I get each year, comes from the woodchip and sand-filled playgrounds at parks and schools.

Yes, I will occasionally find them in the bottle cap trash around picnic areas, or luck upon some when searching a football or other sports field, and on a rarer occasion when hunting a private yard, but for quantity with easy recovery .... that's got to be the playgrounds.

They have a lot of activity with roughhousing and coins and jewelry get lost. They are used by youngsters, teenagers and adults, and they can generate a lot of target loss, especially school playgrounds from about now on thru mid June will be productive. During the summer (depending upon local habits) parks and schools can see use any time of year) I concentrate or park playgrounds and those schools playgrounds that get a lot of neighborhood use. Once school starts it takes 2-4 weeks before there is enough loss generated to make a weekly search worthwhile, and sometimes sites are good if hit every two weeks or maybe every 3 weeks. Some, however, are weekly hits.
