Finding places to hunt

I was surfing E-bay for property to metal detect and was wondering if anyone else approches locations like this. I saw a school for sale and several older homes that looked like their yards needed hunted. No luck today finding any houses in my area. I am sure several of these locations are in areas most of us would stay out of. Hope everyone gets a chance to go hunting this weekend. Jeff

Many of these areas can be hunted with a couple friends so you can watch out for each other.

The craigslist method of looking at old properties for sale is how I got my latest property to detect. It is a VERY old and VERY historic property too with lots of open land.

I too use Craigs list just didn't think to add it to the post. Most of the time when I end up on Craigs list I find myself in the best of craigslist . If you haven't done any reading there try it. HH Jeff
