One of two 1865's I found yesterday. I tried a new cleaning method but I was a little skeptical about harming the green patina. Since I had a pair I went for it with one of them. Needless to say I am extremely pleased.

Wow, two 1865 IHP's...very nice. Good job on the cleaning though I prefer the aged green patina. Congrats!

It's still green as can be! It just looks darker in the pic

**I added another pic which shows the emerald green much better

Yep! Still nice and green. The first pic had me wondering. Nice going:thumbsup:

What method did you use?

What a beautiful coin, congrats! :occasion14:

You are right. The Indian head cent is a beautiful coin and I could dig them all day everyday and never get tired of seeing them in the plug.

Your cleaning method worked beautifully. Congratulations and keep swingin.

I wouldn't mind finding any 1860s coin. Good work!

Nice!!! Congrats!!!

Always like to see the Indians. Nice finds.
