I did the research to find the old maps and the outhouse locations in my area. Now all I have to do is ask for permission to dig! in my area. Now all I have to do is ask for permission to dig! There is an old building that's closed down, how do I find out who to ask to dig? Can one person really dig deep enough to find bottles in one day? Lol! Watched someone on YouTube and thought I couldn't do that alone?! Lol!

cool find's, too bad they're all broken! I find a lot of old medicine bottle's, with the majority of them being broken. So far most of my find's have been on the surface, or underneath some brush. Keep on looking in that area, and I'm sure you should hit pay dirt!! good luck!!

Looks to me that you are in the right area. If your just starting out, maybe take a friend along while you dig your outhouse? Good luck and finds some killers!!

I got a couple broken wines like that...if thats what yours is

Hey Mojo 618,your doing pretty good for a beginer. Here's what I do,find old maps of your town, from back in the 1920's,30's 40's,etc.Overlap them with todays maps.If the fields are still fields than figiure out where a farm house might have been & then figure out where their garbage dump was. Most peoplw would have dumped stuff a 100-300ft. from their front door. Most of the ones I find old trash dumps today have lots of trees in them, the trees were young & small back then & now are tall & old.
Another way of finding old bottles/or places to find them might be a ad on Craigslist or better yet find a barbershop where alott of old guys get their haircuts, lots of times old farmers use one shop for many years and know alott about where people use to live.

Pretty cool finds. Some of those look old. Keep on searching. I'm sure you are going to find some good stuff at some point in time. Good luck searching for and finding items for your collection. Paul :)

holy thats a shame they are all broken
