I can't help but notice that there are two different find forums for everyone here.
The main "Today's Finds" forum and each state also has one.

I don't like doing things twice, so I just post in the main one.

My question is this: Do you think having a main finds forum and one for each individual state is redundant?
And do you post your finds in one or the other, or both and why?

I think it's a good spot to post state or city specific items such as tokens or just about anything with a makers mark from a local city. You have to remember that this is a huge forum and metal detecting is just one piece of the puzzle. It also may help people from those states meet up or at least share some similar stories. I've also seen some people post their finds in their specific state sub-forum rather than posting in "Today's Finds" general forum. It doesn't happen often but on occasion. I almost posted a book in the Minnesota section the other day [and still might] that I bought at a rummage sale. I don't think it would mean anything to anyone unless they're from here. Though underused, I think it's a nice sub-forum.
