During a dump on 04-01-08 I filled the bin and they didn't have a spare so they had to open it up a bit to get all of my uncounted coins out. In the process i noticed the inside reject cup that I had never noticed before. I asked what they did with the coins that fall in that. "Oh we just throw those away." I asked if I could have them, he said sure. So I picked up the following:
$0.38 in US coins
17 Foreign coins
Austria, 1 Euro Cent (2002),
Brazil, 1 Centavo (2001),
France, 1 Euro Cent (2001),
Germany, 1 Pfennig (1984-F, 1990-J),
Iceland, 10 Aurar (1971),
Ireland, 1 Euro Cent (2002),
Italy, 1 Euro Cent (2002),
Mexico, 10 Centavo (1998),
Mexico, 100 Peso (1984),
Netherlands, 10 Cents (1974, 1976),
Netherlands, 1 Euro Cent (2000, 2001(2)),
Phillipines, 5 Sentimos (1998),
Spain, 1 Euro Cent (2006)
and 1 Santa Monica Bus Token
Also stopped at another bank to finish my dump.
Ended up picking up $11.50 in loose halves with 2 - 40% Kennedy...both 1965
My typical stop on 04-02-08 only had 2 - $50 bags of pennies (and $15 in loose half dollars which were all clad)
The pennies were decent:
