1900’s era farm that has been abandoned since the 1930’s.
Covered with scrap tin and cans, plus poison ivy. But I found this men’s ring and non magnetic button.

Nice Save on the ring. Sweep that area clean. More goodies are bound to be just beneath the surface.

Cool ring. Looks very likely that there was a setting in that ring. if you could relocate that spot, it might be worth some sifting.
I figured the stone was long gone but it is worth a try. I should be able to easily see where this ring was dug.

This is a common style of ring that was mass produced with glass stones. Often found at poor farmers homesteads. They were gold plated and some even stamped as real gold to lie to the buyer. Any stone from these plated rings is not worth the time to sift for it. I have found 4 or 5 of this exact style over the years. Now there was also this style actually made from gold, which also came with fake as well as real stones. So even if it was gold the stone is still a crap shoot

I feel that might be older than early 1900s , maybe . I guess it depends on what you start finding

My 1895 plat book shows no structure here.
Next plat book is 1913 and shows a structure. My neighbor says his mother was born there in 1930. And from what we figure it was abandoned near 1933.
I found 3 wheat cents 1918, 1919 & 1928. Plus 2 P&G aluminum tokens.
Conestoga bell, silver plated bracelet.
My more note able finds from this site.
