I wish I had better news to report to everyone on this topic . . . but I was on vacation in Jamaica, so I'll try to not whine too much! :laughing7: I went with my wife and daughter to Beaches Boscobel last Saturday for a week and man was it ever great to get away from winter here in Canada!

I woke up every morning at 5:45 and was down on the beach by 6am. It was extremely peaceful at that time of day, there was hardly anybody around and I got to see the sun come up! This beach was extremely trashy, maybe only 6 - 8 inches of sand on top with about 12" of rocks/sand beneath. I found a lot of scrap iron of all descriptions, nails, aluminum fruit cans and of course beer caps . . . oooooooooh so many beer caps! :laughing7:

The only things I managed to find of interest were 3 Lincoln Memorials and a button from a pair of jeans! Though I did leave Jamaica with the satisfaction of knowing that I probably saved a lot of people from getting a rusty nail stuck in their foot! :icon_thumright:

Happy Hunting to all this spring!
Dave

I couldn't resist posting the last three pics . . . my wife took them after I'd had one too many Red Stripes! :laughing7: In the last pic I'm doing a bit of detecting without my ACE 350! :laughing9:

Thanks for posting James! Yeah, the Red Stripe is really great stuff! Tastes a lot like a beer we have here called Molson Canadian, except Red Stripe tastes a bit sweeter.

Thanks for mentioning that RIC ::) lol! I got pretty burned most days even though I reapplied the sunscreen regularly. Of course while sitting at the poolbar I didn't always feel like getting up . . . if you know what I mean! :laughing7:

Thanks,
Dave

Not crusty coins, but barnicled, cool.

Nice finds. Congrats!

Better luck next time, but like you said....... at least you were in Jamaica and you did save someone a tetanus shot. HH

I was in Jamaica a few years back for my sisters wedding, wish I detected back then. Great pics!

Thanks for posting Rick! :icon_thumright: I'm not even going to attempt to clean these, but I am going to invest in a tumbler this year! :laughing7:

Thanks very much ewcoinhunter! :D Of course I wouldn't call them "nice", I'd say they're better than all the scrap I pulled out of that beach! :laughing7:

Thanks again,
Dave

Thanks Intodeep! I tried not to complain, but I would love to have walked away with at least one ring, even a junker!

Happy Hunting to you,
Dave

Thanks for your post CrazySlasher! I was last in Jamaica in 2007 at Beaches Negril, now that's a beach I'd love to detect! The beach was pure white sand and was almost 5 miles long! :o We're thinking of going to go to Beaches Turks & Caicos in two years and you can bet I'll be taking my detector there as well! Here's a shot of the beach in Turks.

Thanks again buddy,
Dave
