This was finds from my last hunt this weekend.
I found the first two items at a tiny, well hunted park. This is my second Boy Scout/Cub Scout find and my first neckerchief slide. I was surprised that the very first coin of the day was the silver dime and it didn't dawn on me that it was silver at first. I had hunted this park a few time before and the dime was smack dab by itself in the middle of the park and only about 3" deep. This is my only nice coin dug from here. Amazes me that sometimes you don't have to hunt too hard to find silver and then other times it seems impossible.

I thought I hit it big when I found this watch case at a lot about a mile away from the park. It was at least a foot deep and I had dug a bunch of dirt out before I found it. It took me 20 minutes to pinpoint and then I finally reached it. It was filled with dirt and I only saw the shiny back. I didn't look too hard at it in order to avoid scratching it. I took it home and cleaned it up and then realized it was plated. Still very shiny and nice looking. I can't find any serial numbers or maker's marks.

Last, I found something that has been on my list to find for awhile. I have been deliberately targeting lids like this hoping to find one. I didn't know what it was until I took it home and confirmed it. I don't remember exactly where I found it, but it was somewhere close to where I found the watch case. I learned that a moderate strength acid will clean up corroded aluminum rather easily. The picture should speak for itself on what it is:

Overall I had found a nice array of things this weekend, which is sometimes better then hitting it big with the same ole stuff even if its silver.
