Finds from the "Admin"

Hit the "Admin" with Tim, Tim, and Anthony from DFX Only and Chris and Steve from Tnet. Had a good day overall. Chris and I didn't do so spectacularly today, but, Steve, Tim, Tim, and Anthony tried to clean the place of buttons and other items the first go around. Way to go guys.

One of the guys said that we should have brought a machete. I scanned around a while and believe it or not I actually found one!! What a bonus. It was sooooo cool to have a machete out there. The only only un-cool part about having it was that I drew back to slice a vine and cut CLEANLY through my headphone wire!! DO'H!!!! Oh well, its always nice to have an excuse to by new stuff.

I dug a couple of other items not shown here. They are soaking in Kroil. I pulled a few clad pennies and some military stuff. When they are clean I will post them to this thread and update the title. Got a really neat whatzit with the cone shaped item. More with on the whatzit forum.

I found the bottle dump and became smitten with that for a while. I wasn't finding any cool metal, so, I figured "what the hay?"

Good day, i will sometimes spend more time messing with a bottle area then detecting, found some nice bottles that way.

The "egg" is in fact most likely from some kind of equipment. Decieving are the sections appearing to spiral. They do not. The bottom section has "tick" marks. It looks exactly like a metric ruler. About every ten "ticks" or so is a longer line much the same was a centimeter mark would indicate 10 millimeters. I will post it in the What Is It forum once I have it cleaned up enough to see the marks.

Funny about the machete. Believe it or not, I had the same thing happen to me. I wished for a machete.....and found one nearby inside a green canvas sheathe and everything!

Great hunt...good to see other Tnetters getting together!

THE MACHETTE IS PROBABLY FR0M A LAND SURVERYOR. I KNOW I WAS ONCE ONE AND LOST A FEW OF THOSE MY SELF.
