I went back to the bleachers where I found my bad a$$ed silver bracelet yesterday armed with some rubber boots so I could check more thouroughly. It was awful digging in the 6" water but I kept on trucking. Think I might have found a dime, but no more jewelry. Decided to check the actual spot where I had found the bracelet, and I had to laugh. The hole wasn't even filled in. Guess I just stuck it in my pocket and cut out. Come to think of it, I didn't even think it was real, so I wasn't excited. I guss I was just busy trying to figure out if it was real or not. Yup. I checked the hole and there was a quarter mere inches from where I had dug the bracelet. Thought that was neat. My dad said that an area behind the elementary school, which is right by the High School in our town, would have money all over the place. He was right on the bleachers, so I hit it up. I started out in jewelry mode, but the area was TO trashy, so I had to make an executive decision. i decided to only dig quarter signals. Ended up with $6.40, and I wasn't through, but I was getting tired when dad showed up. Also found an honor's society(?) medal and an arkansas national guard recruiting dogtag/keychain.
Alright, am I the only one that spends a great deal of the time while detecting thinking of different stuff to say on the forum? I always think of stuff to say with no intention of ever posting it. I was rocking along right after I started detecting the middle school with about 6 quick signals allready. WHen I'm digging quarters, I'll get a ding, then I'll scan it again, if it dings solid, I dig it. I had one that just didn't sound quite right, or quite wrong, I guess. I could sense that there was a quarter in there. Sure enough, it was a penny and a quarter. This is when I start thinking of what i'm going to say on Tnet. I walked around for a good hour thinking about what I was going to say, like"Felt like Kevin Costner in Dances with Quarters" or "The Quarter Whisperer". Before I realised it, an hour had gone by, and I hadn't had the first good signal. As soon as I realised I wasn't digging anything and got kind of mad at myself, and I mean pretty much instantaneously, I got a quarter signal, and it wasn't one, it was two. Now some of you might think I'm crazy as a loon, alright, I am carzy as a loon, but that's some weird manure.
anywho, dug this statehood quarter that I think I pulled out of the ground at just the right time. Maybe it could have stood a little longer, but I think it looks pretty.f

Yeah, the very first spot I hit in the, I don't know, acre and a half(?) was pretty trashy, but it is a big field, and there are still dime signals and whatever else I didn't get. Think I'll go back. I'll post results in 3 or 4 hours.
