So yesterday I finished up gridding off the two big yards at the early 1900's house from a few days ago.
I ended up with 35 wheats pennies, 2 IH's (1898 & 1906), and a circa 1930's "1 Fils - Ghazi l -Iraq coin.??? A shoutout to member "Bramblefind" for IDing this strange coin for me.
I just couldn't believe that after digging that many wheat pennies and also modern clad, that there was not one silver coin in the yard. :dontknow:
But the good news is, I did find TWO nice sterling rings from the 1950's. :hello2: I dug one in each of the two yards. The makers marks are the same too.
I wanted to thank member "Red-Coat" for not only ID'ing the makers mark on the rings, but also providing an original ad from Sept. 1950 which happens to show the exact model rings that I dug. Amazing!!!
Other than the coins and rings, I found some other odds-n-ends & doo-dads.
Thanks to everyone for l@@king, but most of all for your help and input.

That's a lot of wheat!
Congrats on all the recoveries!
The ring I found last Tuesday has that same hallmark.
I could not believe the amount of wheat Pennies and not one silver coin. I dug modern dimes and quarters so I know I didn’t miss and silver coins. Baffling to say the least. 🤔

Nice finds mm. Good to see you are still getting out.

Hi Merf,
I noticed it’s tougher now getting up off my knees than it was ten years ago. Lol.
It wouldn’t be as bad if the coins were silver instead of copper wheats. 🤣
Hope you are doing great. Good luck in 2024. 👍

Very nice, I like those rings.
Thank you. Those were the highlight of my hunt. The big one I thought was a cut piece pipe when I dug it. The second one I got under a pine tree branch in the side yard that I had detected the day before. I’m glad I went back. 👍
Thanks for l@@king.

What’s that saying about a blind squirrel and a nut? 😎
