First 10 Boxes of Halves - Average? Below?

Have been doing mainly dimes, pennies and nickels but started on halves last week. Gone through 10 boxes past week and have had 6 skunks. Each of the remaining 4 boxes contained 1 40%. Is this average? Seems low based on other posts, but I am sure that is due to the fact that the majority of people only post good boxes and not listing all their skunks.

Just curious as so far it seems I have way better luck with dimes. I am averaging about 1.5 per box and I have gone through nearly 50 in past few weeks.

You found 2 more 40%ers than I found in my first 10 boxes.

It really all comes down to luck. Your first 20 boxes could all be skunks, then BAM, a box with 100+ keepers that makes your average look really good. Just hang in there and you will get some good boxes soon

Seems about average, maybe a bit low, depends on area as well.

I just went through 4 boxes of skunks and then a box with 23 keepers, so just keep plugging away.

I would say the average ends up being 2 silver coins per box over the long haul. Every now and then you can hit for a few dozen in one box. The most I ever got was 67 in one box.
