First 1800's silver and it's a big one

Water hunting a spot I've gotten some old objects but no coins. I thought it was a fishing lure because it's a popular fishing spot and it was really close to shore. It turned out to be a 1879 Morgan dollar. My first silver dollar. ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1439572765.712941.webpImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1439572781.148156.webp

I've found every half-dollar dating back to seated halves but never, ever, not even once found a large dollar coin. Congrats on the Morgan. That one is on my list

Welcome to the silver dollar club, & congratulations. The Morgans do give off quite a signal. Mine blew my ears out so much, I was thinking aluminum can. I'm glad I dug the signals.

Very nice LARGE silver recovery, Congratulations!

Wow. That thing is awesome. Must have blown your mind when you first saw it.
