First 6 hunts with the 6" Excelerator on the Se....

I love this little coil! :blob6: :blob6: This coil reminds me of when I put the 5.3 on the dfx... but the excelerator coil on the Se is much deeper! :icon_sunny: Here are my best coin finds after my first 6 trips with the new coil.... 8 wheaties, a 48-d Rosie and I also had $34.63 in clad.... This coil will pay for itself by the end of the month.......... :)

The Rosie was around 10 inches deep and 2 of the wheaties were around 8 to 10 inches deep, the rest from surface to 6 inches...

Hey Buddy Gregg!
You are so right; that little Excelerator 6 incher is sweet! I own the 5 inch along with the 4.5x7 and really like both of them.
Sincerely, you and the SE are one---hummmmmm! :)

Easy on the swing!

Nice! Your wheat cents look just like mine, I can get every color of the rainbow in one park. Green, red, brown, orange...they just don't come out nice and clean around here, huh? lol, good job man!

Thanks Ron... I am starting to feel extremely comtfortable with the Se finally! :) I am on a very nice run with the wheaties...have found at least one for the last 12 trips out...which includes a couple with the dfx.

I know what you mean.... the oddest part of my last few weeks was finding two wheaties in a tot lot one day. I have never found more than one in a tot lot at a time and that was rare... I know I am due for a bad day soon... But I have been hitting places that all year I knew would produce....just hope they keep giving... :)

I thought I had the 8" Minelab figured out...but I really like having a stable threshold and running the sens. high which the 6" has allowed me. It just seems to be such a smooth operating coil... I keep pushing the sens. up each time I use it and for the most part till I got near a large electrical pole today....stability was there... This week I am going to try to max. the sens. at 32... I have gone as high as 28 now...

Congrats!!!

Running this coil hot and the stability maintained is amazing.... If they would just add 3 more inches to the blade of my Lesche everything would be fine... Not sure a shovel will fit in where I hunt! :D

So true Gregg!
I've often wondered why Predator Tool doesn't offer longer/better options on their Lesches!
I'd gladly pay more to get more inches! And, three more would be just about right! Lol!

There is no doubt there should be a new version of the Lesche for detectors like the Se... Maybe it would be to much stress on the short handle?? ??? What I do now is dig the basic seven inches...and try carefully to add another 3-4 inches with a second dig...this is what concerns me...the chance is now twice as much that you may damage the coin... I guess when I get an inline probe that will help also...

Obviously with the depth being reached the bullseye 2 is not the best to be using... but it will do for now... Deep on works for me...and all of a sudden it has all fallen together for me and the Se.... Six months of digging almost daily has me very confident with it now...

Once again thanks everyone...has been a learning process going from Dfx to the Se... But well worth it! :)

right on target,nice digs.
