So I found this forum thru another MD forum. Decided to try my hand at CRH. I had some money put aside. So I picked up $50 in dimes. Not one good dime out of the whole lot. And in the end I had my cat eat a dime supposedly. Will find out when I dump these. I added a dime to make up the difference so hopefully I end up with $50.10 which would mean I just got shorted and she didn't eat one. But I assume rolls are usually pretty accurate.
If not then I'll be checking the cat box unfortunately. Maybe I'll have a miracle and she'll return out a silver dime lol.

I am down on dimes lately, the yield is low and I end up losing out when it comes to returning them to the bank.

I drop one or two in the car
The bank's counting machine counts 2-3 dime as pennies
I get shorted in CWRs
Canadian dimes that banks don't want.

The key to dime is volume, I find one silver one per $250 MWR and one per $100 CWR, but loses raises the price.
For a pure silver hunter, I think halves and nickels are better.

HH!

cat ate yer dime -- gives a new meaning to "dump bank"

Report back after you've searced a thousand dollars worth or two...$50 in dimes isn't much when the average is one silver per $150-200 searched. Find a bank or CU with a counter. I can dump $500 in dimes in less than 2 minutes. Sometimes the machine counts dimes as cents, no prob, my receipt shows that, and my CU credits my account for the shortage. Good luck. ffd
