I was hunting a circa 1900 house lot and within a minute had a 1916 wheat, followed by 7 more wheats before the first clad coin surfaced. After about two hours I got a pure signal on the AT Pro that registered 85 and I coaxed an 1899 barber quarter from it's home for the last 80-90 years (based on the wear). It was about 6-7 inches deep, and my first silver quarter that wasn't a Washington!

WTG sounds like you found virgin ground. Your first silver quarter and it's a Barber, you got to like that. Congrats to you Mister.

WOW!
I'm still hunting one of those.

Congrats on your first Barber Quarter. Lets hope you are just getting started on that property.:icon_thumright:

Nice finds! My first barber was also a 1899 quarter in about the same condition but not nearly as deep as yours.

my only silver quarter is a Canadian one, still loving for a USA one, congrats on the sweet find

Very sweet coin- Congrats on checking another one off the bucket list!

Hard to find, good job snagging your first Barber quarter!

That's a pretty great day of digging! Congratulations on all your finds, but especially the Barber quarter! Can't seem to find one of those for myself, so I'm always happy to see when others are finding them.

Nice Barber coin! Can't wait to score one myself. Good hunt.
