First beach hunt!

I am in a similar predicament. I just recently moved from Houston to Corpus Christi. Last evening I was able to get out and work the CC Beach. I was using a BH Landstar (I know, not a Beachstar) running all metal. All I found was an old lead weight and a couple of pull tab rings. It was extremely disappointing. I thought I would at least find a penny or two. Does anyone have any suggestions on MDing in the Corpus Area?

Hey Bob,

Never been to (clap clap clap clap) Texas, but I feel you in your frustration on the beach. I used to hunt the same beaches near me with my Ace 250 (dry sand only), but I hunted in coin mode as opposed to AM. If you're finding pull tabs, then you'll eventually find gold, so keep on digging those. Right now I'm trying to learn the difference in tone from a bottlecap to a coin on the Minelab, they both sound similar and it gets old digging the bottlecaps! We'll see.
