Me and Dano did some door knocking on Friday. Some days it’s a mixed bag but we lucked up on the first door. We got a permission from a lady at a 118 year old home. She said we wouldn’t find anything and I told her that’s what everybody says. On the second hole I scored silver. Deus gave a screaming, great sounding tone with a vdi of a solid 97. I told Dano that is a half dollar. Sure enough about 3” down Was my third half ever. After another hour and a handful of clad and a couple square nails we were ready for a break. As luck would have it the ladies husband shows up right as we were loading up. He was not as cool as his wife and said not to come back. I can hardly complain though. Dano wasn’t detecting since he is recovering from surgery. While I was digging he crossed the street and got permission at the huge lot across the street that is a 1860. We’ll get back to it one day. Saturday we hit several places including this old house (unknown age). It had round floor joists and one rock chimney. The other chimney was brick but I think it replaced another rock chimney. It gave up no good finds though. We hit 2 other permissions (a 1910 and a 1869) an recovered merc no.11 for the year. I have yet to dig a Rosie this year!?
