I posted this yesterday on "Today's Finds" but I never know if people on here missed it or not. I went back to my old elementary school where I found the 16 silver quarter cache, a week later a silver dime 1956, a week later my buddy found a 1942 washington and yesterday I went out for a 5 hour hunt. My reward: 1950 Canadian half dollar! 80% silver. I could not believe my luck. Earlier that day I was thinking about how I might never find a half dollar in the ground. Well, it comes when you least expect it. Got a bouncy, loud signal out by the baseball field on a sloped piece of ground. Sometimes I get iffy signals on hills and never find the source. Glad I looked into this one. The Mexican? coin was right on top of the half and the 1950 nickel was in the same hole but maybe an inch above. Made my day. It's been a big year for me this year as I have now found 18 silver coins, 2 silver rings, and lot of other fun relics. Had a lot of fun doing it too. Guess I will turn this into a best of 2012 post while I am at it. Enjoy the pics! HH!!
