Not terribly old but these were actually dug. I was detecting the dirt floor of an old root cellar and uncovered a portion of the brown bottle looking for a target. I decided to carefully dig it just in case it was intact and it was! Found the other two below the brown one. The metal target ended up being a mason jar lid (zinc), nice trade off.

Yes, very good shape, I couldn't believe it. It's shear luck that they weren't broke. There were all kinds of rocks and other broken glass over and under each of them. I think this spot was a glass/jar dump site. Found a lot of broken Mason Jars, drinking glasses, china, etc., in the spot. I was really surprised how easy it was to clean them, I've found old soda bottles before that a sand blaster wouldn't clean.

I'm on a bottle kick now.

cool bottles nice finds
bet the brown is a beer bottle, white ponds or jergans and the little greenie no clue
better go back and look for more!
