First box of '08

Just wanted to say good luck to all in '08. I just got back from Florida and didn't have any halves to go through until tomorrow so I decided to check a bank in town I hadn't hit before. Low and behold they had an entire box as well as about $300 more in their vault. The teller asked how many I wanted and i decided I'd try the box. I really was thinking it was going to be somebody else's dumps because I've never encountered a bank that just has a whole box sitting in their vault. However I got the box and it was an unopened beauty! Here's the funniest part though! I had actually walked into town with my girlfriend to go to the local coffeeshop and just stopped at this bank to use their ATM to deposit a check and decided to run into the branch and check. Lucky I had the $500 in cash on me. So after I got the box I went to the coffeeshop, then walked all the way home. In all it was well over a mile walking while carrying a full box of halves. Haha...needless to say I got a decent workout from it!

But the important part is that the box had:

(2) 1964s and ( 8 ) 40%s.

A good enough box if you ask me. I may have to see about opening an account at this bank and having another ordering source.

Right on.
I got a box like that today only 2 90s, Funny thing was, it was not full, it was $460
even stranger than that, under the first few they had pulled was a Walking liberty right there in plain view...and they didn't notice.
It also gave up a ben.
Id go back and get the hand rolls though. I find more solid rolls in "peoples dumps" than in boxes.
Just like the fed boxes they are hit and miss. Never discount dumps. I picked up $400 in hand rolls today and there was nothing, but thats ok, the $70 in hand rolls I picked up last week had 3 solid silver rolls.
